Portugal 1111 is a real-time strategy game developed by a Portuguese multimedia company, in partnership with the Municipality of Soure and historians from the University of Coimbra. The game deals with the historical events of the Reconquista – the time when the Christians fought against Moorish invaders.

When playing Portugal 1111 you will learn about Portuguese history and medieval daily life in XII Century while developing strategies for achieving objectives. The scenario is Portugal even before becoming Portugal and represents the fight to create a Kingdom.

The game is very similar to the majority of Strategy Games, for example to Microsoft’s Age of Empires.
